


You are the Emergency Team – the responders in an incident. You may play a role defined by ICS/HICS; you may hold a clearly defined IMS position; you are a key member of the team that is called to action when an emergency arises. You do the assessments, make the decisions, and manage the hospital through crises, disasters, and incidents.

You are the Executive Team – the group who ensures that your hospital is READY for any incident. You are part of your hospital's Emergency Management Committee, Disaster Preparedness Committee, Hospital Readiness Committee – you choose the term; your goal is to get the hospital prepared for all hazards.
